Electrical System/Equipment
Bluegill Energy’s trained and experienced professional’s use thermal imaging to detect, troubleshoot and fix problems in order to prevent costly shutdowns and outages. Oftentimes, electrical equipment tends to heat up before it fails, hiding from sight until a problem becomes “self-evident.”
Infrared scanning can be used to inspect electrical equipment issues that can lead to equipment failure such as:
- Loose connections
- Imbalanced and/or overloaded circuits
- Defective breakers
- Damaged switches
- Faulty fuses
- Material defects
In addition to uncovering where issues have developed, infrared cameras provide a more accurate way to measure the temperature of energized components without having to touch and probe them, so you can maintain a safe working distance from them and also save time. As the most cost-effective predictive maintenance you can do for your electrical system and components, a thermal scan can also tell you which components need to be repaired immediately and which can be repaired during your normally scheduled maintenance.
Periodic thermal scan inspections as an early warning tool for identifying potential electrical equipment and system failure is an important part of maintaining your production. What would take a crew of electricians a week to check, our team can do in just a day or two and at a lower cost. More importantly, we conduct our surveys during normal operation of your facility, so you never have to stop production.
We would be glad to answer all of your thermal scan questions and provide these services in a timely manner.
Let Bluegill Energy’s trained and certified professionals make Energy Code and Green Building program compliance cost effective and easy for you!
