NAHB Green Verifications

Bluegill Energy is an accredited third-party verifier for the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) National Green Building Program.

Certification is based on the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines and the ICC 700 – 2015 National Green Building Standard. The standard includes provisions that define green attributes for developments, multi-unit dwellings, remodeling projects, additions and single-family homes.

The NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines awards four green certification levels Bronze, Silver and Gold and Emerald. The guidelines focus on the following areas:

• Resource efficiency
• Energy efficiency
• Water efficiency
• Indoor environmental quality
• Homeowner education
